Which nameservers should I use with my Web Hosting Account?

This article is intended for those who have set-up a shared web hosting account with Forward Web and are ready to point their domain name to Forward Web servers.

What are name servers?

A name server is a specialized server on the Internet that handles queries or questions from your local computer, about the location of a domain name's various services (email, http..ect). A simple way to think about name servers is using a phone book analogy. If you were trying to call Forward Web you might remember our phone number, however more than likely you'd want to look up our phone number first vs guessing at numbers. 

 

Which nameservers should I use with my  Web Hosting Account? 

If you are currently using any of our shared web hosting packages, you can use the following public nameservers for your domain name. Keep in mind these nameservers will need to be updated with your domain name registrar. 

NS1.Server-Protocol.com
NS2.Server-Protocol.com
NS3.Server-Protocol.com
NS4.Server-Protocol.com
